Very Tasty Nourishing Snacks You Can Put Together Yourself

What is the very first thing you reach when you are needing a bite? Chips or cake? What if you are going about trying to eat well? It can be difficult to find snacks that are both healthy and delicious particularly if you are used to reaching for highly sugared or salted snacks. In this article, we are going to show you how to put together your own nourishing snacks to satisfy those cravings. Below are foods you can eat while watching your diet and weight. Skeptical? Check it out!

Super yummy dipped pretzels are a terrific snack that you can consume that won’t make you feel like you are limited in terms of calorie count or portion size while still eating your favorite tastes. Melt half a cup of semi sweet chocolate on the stove until melted. This will take roughly two minutes to accomplish and ensure that you stir it very well before using. Try dipping pretzels that are low in sodium in the chocolate until they are coated and then place them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in one layer. Cool them at room temperature for more or less one hour or in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Tasty Tortilla Chips are a good snack that you can whip at home without lots of work. When you purchase tortilla chips at the shop, the chips are basically coated in salt and are extremely unhealthy. For this delicious snack, you can make the chips yourself with corn tortillas. Cut roughly 10 corn tortillas into sixths. Put the pieces on to a baking sheet and then spritz them with a spray made from canola oil, chili powder, cumin and sea salt. See to it that every piece is coated with the mixture and then bake the lot at 350 degrees for fifteen minutes. Give them time to cool down before consuming them.

Try fixing your own caramel corn! You are probably thinking that there is no way that caramel corn can be healthy for you because it is so high in sugar and calories. Try making this (much heartier) recipe instead. Use a big stock pot and melt two tablespoons of butter at the bottom of it and then stir in two tablespoons of brown sugar, a tablespoon of water and a quarter teaspoon of kosher salt. Whip the ingredients and then mix in seven cups of air popped popcorn. If you prefer, sprinkle a small amount of lightly salted peanuts if that’s your thing. Mix all if it together until the popcorn (and nuts) is coated
equally and then allow it to cool before you consume it.

If you are fine performing some research, you can find a number of snack recipes that are low on bad ingredients, have fewer calories but that still taste extremely good. There are all varieties of choices for super nourishing and tasty snacks out there. You’ll need to be patient so that you can find those healthy and yummy recipes and then make them yourself. It shouldn’t be hard to be healthy. You have the power to do it!
